Waterbearers Coordinator (Water 1)

Baroness Maggie O'Donnell

Water Point is on the battlefield and open daily from 8 am to 6 pm.

Volunteers

Volunteers are always welcome before, during, and after the battles to rinse and fill water jugs and to collect the empties from the field. We also need volunteers to help bring water to the fighters and spectators during battles.

This is a great way to earn a service point for the war effort! Thank you for your help – without your assistance, we would have a lot more hydration issues throughout the War.

Mornings: come 1.5 hours before the start of each day's War Point battles (armored and rapier) to fill and distribute water bottles.

Afternoons: come for a few hours after each day's final battle, to collect, clean and refill bottles.

Please remember these simple rules for watering during battles:

  • Marshals are in charge - always follow their directives.
  • No live steel on the field.
  • Wear closed-toe shoes on the field
  • You must be 18 to carry water to fighters on the field. Minors may help provide water to people on the sidelines.

We appreciate any and all help that we get during the week, and the fighters do, too!

Tourney Organizers

If you are running tourneys on the smaller list fields and require water, please make arrangements with us ahead of time so we can set some up for you. The more notice we have, the better prepared we can be.
